Real name: Temperance Robinson

History: Temperance grew up poor in Suicide Slum in Metropolis. She worked hard, and managed to send herself to law school on a scholarship, where she graduated at the top of her class. She turned down a number of high-paying jobs to instead take a job as a public defender, feeling drawn to where she could best serve the ideals of justice. A few years later, her powers manifested.

Powers: Arcana has an instinctive understanding of magic, and can cast a range of spells, including arcane blasts. When in her mystical form, she also sprouts feathered wings which allow flight. Her preferred weapons, however, are a pair of apparently mundane pistols which fire soulfire instead of bullets. The soulfire can do significant damage to supernatural evil, but it will do no permanent harm to mortals. An innocent will feel nothing more than a tingle from the soulfire, but a mortal who is allowing evil to guide their actions will feel significant pain.

She serves the interest of justice, and is the mortal embodiment of the concept.
